This study evaluates the effectiveness of the Pestman In-ground Termite Bait station in controlling subterranean termites (Reticulitermes). The experiment was conducted across different seasons by installing bait stations at sites with termite activity, followed by regular maintenance and monitoring of bait consumption and termite mortality. Among 229 valid cases, 207 stations successfully attracted termites, while 19 stations showed signs of recurring termite activity after initial colony elimination. The findings suggest that Pestman In-ground Termite Bait station effectively controls termite infestations, though its long-term efficacy and thoroughness need further observation.
Termites that attack living trees are called Formosan subterranean termites. They enter the tree at its base and eat their way through the inside from the ground up. If you've recently spotted signs of termite activity around one of your trees, don't panic! In most cases, you can save the tree and get rid of the termites within a few days. In this article, we'll walk you through a variety of options—both natural and chemical—for treating a tree infestation.
Pestman's technical team conducted a test to observe the effectiveness of using a bait containing 10% hexaflumuron to attract and kill termites. Pestman® hexaflumuron termite bait mixed with attractant and pesticide. Lured by the bait, termites feed on the Pestman termite bait and take it back to the colony. Then they will feed the bait to other termites. Eventually the entire colony termites will be eliminated.
Termites, the tiny creatures that can bring down an entire house. They might not be as glamorous as big scary pests like cockroaches or rats, but when it comes to property damage, they are the silent destroyers. One moment, you think your wooden beams are perfectly solid; the next, you find out termites have turned them into a hollow mess, leaving nothing but a pile of dust and regret. If you've ever had a close call with termites—or worse, dealt with a full infestation—you know the sheer panic that comes with realizing these little guys are feasting on your home. But don't worry—Pestman’s technical staff has the solution, it’s Pestman Hexaflumuron Bait.
As a pest control company, if your customer's house faces potential termite problems in the future, there are usually two ways to prevent it. In this article we will provide an introduction to chemical soil treatments and termite monitoring & baiting systems. Then we’ll delve into the benefits and disadvantages of each type of termite protection.
Pestman In-ground Termite Bait Station is a modern solution for managing termite infestations effectively. It works by leveraging termite biology and behavior. It involves placing bait stations near termite colonies. Termites consume the bait, which contains a slow-acting toxicant mixed with materials they prefer to eat. Worker termites then transport the bait back to their colony, where it is shared through feeding and grooming, leading to the elimination of the entire colony. Pestman Termite Bait is eco-friendly, reduces pesticide use, and ensures minimal environmental impact, making it ideal for critical infrastructure like dams.
The in-ground termite bait station is a device designed specifically to monitor and control subterranean termites. These bait stations are installed below ground around buildings or other structures that require protection. By attracting termites into the station to feed on bait laced with slow-acting toxins, the poison is carried back to the colony, eventually eliminating or controlling the entire termite population.
Termites are social insects feeding lignocelluloses. In a natural environment, they usually damage houses and buildings, crops and trees and dams and dykes. Application of bait to eliminate the colony of termites is an important method to control the damage of termites. In the past, mirex is one of main active components used in termite baits. Mirex is now forbidden for its persistent organic pollution. An urgent task for termite control is to find out environmentally friendly compounds as the active component of termite bait. Benzoylurea insecticides act on the chitin synthetase of insects and cause insect death. This group of insecticides is safe to human and environment and can be applied as the alternative of mirex to control termite. In this paper, benzoylurea insecticides and the control effect of benzoylurea baits are introduced. The shortage of benzoylurea baits for termite control is also discussed.
